Anoh Stéphane CISSÉ

Graduated with a Master degree in Architecture and Urbanism (DEIAU) from the African School of Architecture and Urbanism in Lomé, Stéphane CISSE is the General Director of World Architecture Côte d’Ivoire (WACI).

Passionate about art history and deeply committed to Africa's cultural and historical heritage, Stéphane CISSE founded his own firm, WACI, in 2015. His practice is characterized by a personal approach to architecture, combining rigorous technical expertise, interdisciplinary integration, and an innovative perspective on various projects and commissions.

Befor WACI’s creation, Stéphane CISSE gained a rich international experience working with several prestigious agencies: Architecture Concept AIC in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), Architecture et Climat A&C in Dakar (Senegal), Fusion Architecture Urban in Abidjan, and Archibat Sarl in Congo-Brazzaville.

Dedicated to sustainable and responsible architecture, Stéphane CISSE is involved in projects that address current economic and social challenges. He aims to undertake landmark and transformative projects for Côte d’Ivoire and the subregion.

As a staunch advocate for knowledge transfer and mentorship, Mr. CISSE leads the monthly discussion forum "Archi Apéro" at the Maison de l’Architecture in Abidjan. He also moderated a panel at the Abidjan Architecture and Building Fair, ARCHIBAT 2023, on the theme "Architecture and Smart Cities: The Role of Industry Professionals."

In addition to his numerous certifications in building hygiene, safety, and environmental management, Stéphane CISSE holds the Advanced Management Program (PMD) from MDE Business School, which has enabled him to develop a comprehensive business perspective and enhance his leadership skills.

Stéphane CISSE Anoh is also a member of the Order of Architects of Côte d’Ivoire.
