WORLD ARCHITECTURE CÖTE D’IVOIRE
On the upcoming of its tenth anniversary, WACI aims to further reveal itself to the public and share its vision, expertise, and experience.
1. 2015
Founded in August 2015, World Architecture Côte d'Ivoire (WACI) is an Ivorian architectural firm that currently employs around twenty professionals: architects, designers, interior designers, engineers, site managers, and technicians, all sharing the same ambition: To create the city of tomorrow together.
2. ACTIVITIES
WACI operates in the fields of design, planning, and construction under optimal conditions across various segments, including Architecture, Urbanism, and Interior Design, where it has successfully created synergies among its different specialties. Today, it functions as an architect, interior designer, and designer.
3. COTE D’IVOIRE
Based in Abidjan, the firm designs and oversees all types of new construction and restoration projects across various building functions: offices, hotels, residences, retail spaces, and public facilities.
4. WE APPRECIATE BOTH THE GRAND AND THE SMALL
At WACI, we adopt a holistic approach. Whether our projects involve the design of a 15m² boutique or a 10,000m² building, we consider all aspects: architecture, urban planning, and interior design. This comprehensive perspective is part of what makes us unique.
Our commitment is to maintain a level of excellence throughout all our projects in service of our clients.
5. AFRICAN AND A MEMBER OF THE ORDER
The firm is daily managed by its founder, Mr. Anoh Stéphane CISSE, Architect Urbanist DEIAU, who is registered with the Order of Architects of Côte d'Ivoire. A passionate of art history and an admirer of Africa's cultural and historical heritage, he has developed a personal approach to the profession characterized by meticulous technicality, interdisciplinary collaboration, and an unbiased perspective on projects and various mandates.
6. VISION
We aspire to be a reliable partner for both foreign and local investors undertaking structural and innovative projects in Côte d'Ivoire, aiming to be among the top 10 architectural firms.
7. MISSIONS
At WACI, we design, develop, and supervise construction projects with a focus on sustainability. We ensure the full satisfaction of client requirements by implementing a strategic organization of work teams based on their skills and expertise.
8. DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
Since its inception, the firm has been enriched by a multitude of skills from individuals of diverse backgrounds. WACI takes pride in the cultural diversity within its workplace and recognizes the significant role it plays in fostering renewal, creativity, innovation, and vitality within its team. The firm upholds the highest standards of equity and equal opportunity.
9. SINGULARITY
We do not have predetermined answers. Each project at WACI presents an opportunity to explore new avenues and modalities. We strive for an architecture that is generous and contextual, drawing upon the genius of the sites, local raw materials, landscapes, and climate.
10. SUSTAINABLE, ECOLOGICAL, AND AESTHETIC MATERIALS
We have a preference for certain "distinctive" natural materials such as bamboo and earth bricks, which prove to be excellent insulators. They provide superior thermal insulation compared to others and ensure acoustic comfort. In addition to their technical attributes, these materials possess qualities that make them excellent allies in addressing issues related to waterproofing and aging, all without compromising on aesthetics.
